We’re invested in evolving as a good neighbor and corporate citizen of San Francisco—fostering community and growing together—because Uber works hard to improve the lives of those that surround us.

We're designing with the public and our driver-partners in mind

We’re designing the "curb of the future" to support multiple modes of transportation—from shared rides to buses to bikes—to make it safer, quicker and easier for riders and drivers to find each other and be safely on their way, whether they’re going to work or attending a game.

In designing our buildings, we understand that 7,000 employees make a small city within the greater Mission Bay neighborhood and the city of San Francisco at large. The adjoining public plaza and Third Street will provide for new ground-floor retail opportunities for a variety of tenants, to be confirmed in early 2019.

A human-centered approach: a space tailored to the way we work

An open atrium and 4 indoor/ outdoor walkways connect our teams in Mission Bay 1+2 to promote seamless circulation between the 2 buildings. Across all 4 Mission Bay buildings, we’ve separated spaces between lively (circulation) and quiet (workstation) zones, and encourage collaboration across floors. We’ve partnered with RMW architecture & interiors and Huntsman Architectural Group on the interior design of our new buildings to create a place where employees can feel inspired and connected to one another.

In addition, we’re incorporating a number of design features that encourage a responsible and thoughtful environment for all.

Our new campus is scheduled to open in 2020
